Who We Are
Nansemond Beekeepers is a community of hobbyist and experienced beekeepers dedicated to beekeeping education, healthy bees, and pollinator protection in the Suffolk, Virginia area.
Our Meetings
We hold a monthly meeting on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at Oakland Christian United Church of Christ, 5641 Godwin Blvd., Suffolk, VA 23434. Social hour begins at 6:00 pm; the meeting starts at 7:00 pm. Each month covers a different topic — from first-year hive basics to queen performance and honey judging.
Our Purpose
We support new and experienced beekeepers alike through hands-on demonstrations, guest speakers, and a community of members who are happy to answer questions about hive management, pests and treatments, swarm behavior, and pollinator-friendly gardening.
